At 3:00 yesterday afternoon,
the kids and I pulled up behind
the Marbles Museum in downtown Raleigh.

We hadn't ventured here before,
at least not to the museum itself,
because our kids are older than
the recommended ages for the activities.

The IMAX theater is housed here at Marbles.
That we've visited.

The kids had fun walking around and playing a bit.

They also really liked the brownies and punch
that were served in the Zanzibar room.
Zanzibar.
I love that word. :)
Just taking an afternoon sail.
Many people came up and shook Maya's hand
and thanked her for her volunteer work.
She looked mostly surprised by the attention.
She still hasn't figured out that
she actually did something helpful and worthwhile.
We're still working on getting her to realize
that she did something good.
Toot, toot, chugga, chugga, big Red Car!
Oh, wait...
We strolled around the museum for a bit
before going to the IMAX
and seeing Hubble 3D.
On our way out to the theater,
we saw some cool Harry Potter stuff
they had on display to celebrate
the new movie.
All that's missing is Hedwig.
Mylee, Harry and Scoots.
The movie was awesome.
Then it was back to the museum
and another brownie and punch break.

This wolf is completely covered in beads.
The kids enjoyed the whole trip,
but their favorite part were the hanging cages.
They were freaked out by them at first,
but also strangely drawn to them as well.
We had a great time at the museum!
